The Sea Point Gift Market was launched in 2002 as an initiative of the Reformed Church in Cape Town.
In 2014 it was re-organized into its current form. The Cape Gift Market is held in the Seapoint City Hall, which is on the corner of Main Street and Three Anchor Bay Road, next to the library. Crafters from all over South Africa and Namibia exhibit their wares, ranging from something for the home, toys, edibles, and art. The venue also offers lots of parking.
The Cape Gift Market is organized by registered NPO Gifts to the Needy.
Gifts To The Needy is run by Hestelle Fourie, Christa van Ellewee and Marlene Botha.
In previous years Gifts to the Needy have supported charities like Save the Sheep, Hope House
as well as, in 2020 during the COVID Lock Down, making up gift parcels for our healthcare workers.
The Cape Gift Market is organized by Hestelle Fourie. She has extensive experience in the organization of such markets and is active in this field since 1997 and has assisted in the organization of and offered advice on markets in the Western Cape, Randburg, and George.
